Yay! Finally a cleanser that takes all the layers of makeup off in less than 10 seconds :P suitable across skin-tones, super hydrating (but not pore-clogging!) what more could a lazy beauty ask for :)

Yay! Finally a cleanser that takes all the layers of makeup off in less than 10 seconds ๐Ÿ˜› suitable across skin-tones, super hydrating (but not pore-clogging!) what more could a lazy beauty ask for ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello beauties!

For those of you who celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas! Those of us who don’t celebrate it are in the mid-week rut =P and its so cold I don’t even have the energy to take off my makeup at the end of the day and often opt to sleep in it ๐Ÿ˜› Thankfully, Clinique is catering to the lazies’ market with their Take the Day Off Cleansing Milk.

It is not very cheap for something you apply and remove within 2 seconds at 27 dollars (I am a veteran makeup remover, which is why it takes so little time now ๐Ÿ˜› heheheh). But the reason I purport you get this is that its’ worth the value in terms of ease of use, time effectiveness and pimple prevention.

Days when I am really really tired, I apply it on my face and rinse it off with lukewarm water. Days when I am just tired, after application, I wipe it away with a cotton facial pads soaked in rose water. This barely takes a minute! especially if you own rose water in a spray bottle.

The consistency is creamy and thick compared to other cleansers I have used; thankfully, it only serves to hydrate the skin without the usual side effects (clogged pores) so it is excellent for winter and will not cause pimples.

I have sensitive, combination skin and this has never given me any problems – which is a very big deal! This, along with the Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm are the only makeup removing cleansers that have consistently suited me. Other brands may work without trouble for a ย couple of weeks but suddenly start irritating my skin.

I do use this for eye make-up removal too (on lazy days). However, it doesn’t work as well as it should there. And it always gets into my eyes and burnnsssss like anything for at least 30 minutes after point of first contact. I have a separate make-up removal ammo for my eyes which I will review next week ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, I have not seen this locally yet, but if I do I shall let you know. However, it is freely available at duty frees so ask a traveling relative/friend to pick it up for you or order it online!

I hope you found this review useful beauties ๐Ÿ™‚ until next time, make-up (and make-off!) well!

Lots of love,

Youth Preservation – Origin’s Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

Strongly recommended as it has an INSTANT, VISIBLE, effect! But only if it suits your skin-type :) This is one product that makes me very sad as doesn't suit my skin-type :/

Strongly recommended as it has an INSTANT, VISIBLE, effect! But only if it suits your skin-type ๐Ÿ™‚ This is one product that makes me sad as I cannot continue using it!

Happy Tuesday Beauties!

I hope you all had a fantastic week ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m not sure if I have mentioned this before, but I have bouts of addiction to anti-aging products every few months (prevention is better than cure when it comes to wrinkles ๐Ÿ˜› hehehhehe).

So what was my last obsession? Anti-aging face-wash ๐Ÿ˜›

I got my hands on Origin’s Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash earlier this year. ย I used this only once a day (in the morning) – for evening cleansing at the end of the day I stuck to my trusty Clinique (review coming up!).

So whats the verdict? This facewash has an INSTANT anti-aging effect (by instant I mean visible results within two washes over two days). I’m not sure if this is meant to be anti-aging because the name doesn’t say so but I was very happy that it worked that way. It filled/smoothened out my face (I’m guessing it impacted my pores), brightened up my complexion and made my laugh lines kind of go away (they aren’t wrinkles yet but more of a dent, I hope you understand what I am trying to explain!!) I absolutely loved the effect, it was very primer-y!

Unfortunately, a few weeks into it, I started getting a red rash on my face post-wash (usually on different parts of my cheek) that lasted at least 8 hours. The rashes would be itchy. So I had to stop using it. I ย tried to go back to it again a couple of months later but unfortunately faced the same reaction :/

As I was able to give the remainder to my sister, I have no regrets about this purchase especially since it is reasonable – you can get 150 ml for only 21.50 (USD).

Btw, it suited my sister’s skin just fine so maybe it’s a problem with my skin-type (I have combination, sensitive skin).ย Anyways, I’d recommend you ladies to try getting your hands on a sample prior to purchase! If it suits you, I insist you buy it ๐Ÿ™‚ Its not available locally though, so you’ll have to call in a favor from friends/family abroad or stick to online shopping!

That’s it for now beauties ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a splendid week and make-up well until next week!

Love,

Lashing up Multi-purposely! Clinique High Impact Mascara Review

This is it desi ladies – the mascara you need. Doesn’t clump your lashes or cause them to stick together! Can be dressed up or down to suit the occasion ๐Ÿ™‚ Also available in a waterproof version!

Hello beauties!

I hope terrible tuesdays haven’t been getting you down ๐Ÿ™‚ If they have, there is nothing better than a quick change in your beauty routine to perk up your spirit! For me that would be using an item in my dressing table I usually reserve for formal events ๐Ÿ˜‰ ย the mascara!

I reviewed Benefit’s They’re Real! last week which I wasn’t too happy with. Although drug-store brands ( L’Oreal and Maybelline) suited me fantastically in my teens, my eyes have gotten sensitive with age so I cannot use them anymore :/

I was lucky to come across Clinique’s High Impact Mascara last year. Its’ a budget buy (available for only 16 dollars, which is a steal in my opinion) and works great.

Application is effortless (this is coming from someone with VERY basic mascara applications skills!); it elongates each lash individually without any clumping and does not cause any bunchie effects ( this is when your eyelashes stick together – eww). Apply it once if you want the effect to be understated. Re-apply twice or thrice for a dramatic look.

I find this mascara very easy to take off, compared to the other brands I have used.ย The only drawback is the version I have used is not waterproof (but thats ok with me). Luckily, Clinique has started producing a waterproof version for the same price so don’t worry if that is a deal-breaker for you ๐Ÿ™‚

Me loves *heart heart heart*.

This is so good, I was obnoxious enough to use it beyond its’ expiration date without trouble for a couple of weeks ๐Ÿ˜› When it did finally start irritating my eyes, I demoted it for use as a hair mascara (for the dastardly whites at the top of my head).

I also use this as an eyebrow mascara (don’t worry, I only started doing this post-expiration ๐Ÿ™‚ ). The trick is to make sure you dry up the wand slightly (on a tissue paper) prior to cautious application on your brows. Blend with the pinkie. It works well enough for me as I cant be bothered to pay for a separate eye-brow enhancing tool at the moment! I have too many beauty expenses as it is ๐Ÿ˜› heheheh.

Anyways, I hope this helps ladies! Lash up (and make-up) well until next time ๐Ÿ™‚

Love,
